If Eric the Midget Were in Charge
Eric called in today to talk about American Idol and Simon Cowell’s departure from the show. Here’s the recap from howardstern.com:
Eric the Midget called in to suggest that Weird Al Yankovic replace Simon Cowell on the next season of ‘American Idol,’ leading Howard to joke: “I never thought of Weird Al Yankovic as the solution to any problem.” Eric said Simon would be missed: “He’s the person who got the whole show started. Besides Nigel. And the other Simon.”

Is it me or does ETM seem to be on some very serious mood-altering drugs these days? He is almost zen-like in his determination to not get angry even in the face of clear and intentional antagonism. What the heck is the point of even having the little bastard on the show if he is just going to be grateful, mild-mannered, thoughtful little person?!? I think an ultimatum is necessary. Tell him to bring back the old ETM or he gets no more airtime to plug his inane appearances… which in turn ensures that he gets no more appearances, which hopefully ensures that his life becomes miserable and he begins lashing out at everybody again.
